Provision of electricity meter reading services for Distribuție Energie Oltenia, starting with 2008

Since 2008, ADREM has been providing electricity meter reading services for Distribuție Energie Oltenia, contributing to the management of one of the largest consumer bases in the electricity distribution sector in Romania. The project serves over 1.4 million customers, including household consumers and small economic agents in the counties of Argeș, Vâlcea, Gorj, Mehedinți, Dolj, Olt and Teleorman.

The partnership, carried out over 18 years, has an essential role in ensuring the accuracy of consumption data and in supporting the processes of measuring and managing measurement groups and relating to end customers. Due to its size, the project represents one of the most important data collection and processing operations in the Romanian energy sector.

The reading process is structured in three main stages: planning the activities, reading the meters and identifying any anomalies, followed by the processing and validation of the collected data. During the field activities, both the condition of the meter and the metering system are checked, as well as visual aspects of the supply system, thus contributing to the rapid identification of any non-conformities.

The meter reading is carried out based on an annual reading plan, developed according to the categories of consumers and their geographical distribution. In order to carry out the activities, ADREM mobilizes approximately 210 employees, organized in 7 zonal centers, ensuring an efficient coverage of the entire operating area.

Through its experience, operational capacity and dedicated resources, ADREM contributes to the efficient operation of electricity distribution and metering processes for over 1.4 million consumers. The longevity of this partnership confirms the company’s ability to manage large-scale projects and provide essential services for the national energy infrastructure.
