Charging stations for electric vehicles – design and execution

The development of electric mobility directly depends on the existence of a modern and accessible charging infrastructure. In this context, ADREM has carried out a complex project for Enel X Romania for the design and execution of charging stations for electric vehicles, contributing to the expansion of the national electromobility network and accelerating the transition to low-emission transport.

The contract included complete turnkey services, from the design and preparation of the documentation necessary to obtain the building permits to the execution of the electrical connections, the installation and commissioning of the charging stations. Through its technical expertise and implementation capacity at national level, ADREM ensured the coordination of all stages of the project and the integration of the infrastructure in optimal conditions of safety and performance.

Within approximately one year from the award of the contract, 19 charging stations located in 15 counties in Romania were built and put into operation, with another 10 stations already in the design stage. The simultaneous implementation in multiple locations involved the coordination of the design, execution and commissioning teams, as well as the permanent collaboration with distribution operators and local authorities.

The project included solutions adapted to different usage requirements, from AC stations intended for regular charging to high-power DC fast stations. The implemented capacities cover a wide range of applications, from 7.5 kW and 22 kW to 50 kW, 60 kW and 150 kW, offering flexibility depending on the needs of each location and the profile of users.

By developing this infrastructure, the project contributes to the removal of one of the main barriers to the adoption of electric vehicles – access to charging points. The expansion of the network of stations facilitates the use of electric cars over longer distances, reduces the time needed to refuel, and supports the development of a sustainable transport ecosystem.

The successful implementation of this program demonstrates ADREM’s ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects for electric mobility, at national level, and to support the development of a more efficient, cleaner and environmentally friendly transport system.
