ADREM carried out the modernization works of the public lighting system in Plenița commune, Dolj County, a project aimed at increasing energy efficiency, reducing operating costs and improving the quality of lighting for the community’s inhabitants.
The project included the replacement of the existing lighting infrastructure with a modern solution based on LED technology and the implementation of an intelligent network monitoring and control system. The works involved the dismantling of the existing lighting fixtures, the installation of 555 consoles and the installation of 555 LED lighting fixtures with powers of 30 W, 45 W and 54 W, adapted to the specific requirements of each area served. Also, all the necessary electrical connections and related works to integrate the new equipment into the existing network were made.
An important element of the investment was the implementation of the remote management and intelligent control system for public lighting. The solution allows the monitoring and management of the operation of the lighting fixtures, as well as the centralized management of the three lighting points of the commune. Through this infrastructure, the local authority benefits from a more efficient control over energy consumption and operating costs.
The LED technology used offers superior performance compared to conventional solutions, ensuring a lifespan of approximately 100,000 hours of operation, significant reduction in maintenance costs and high energy efficiency. In addition, the lighting fixtures allow the lighting level to be regulated and integrated into modern control systems, helping to optimize energy consumption and reduce environmental impact.
The project was implemented within 30 working days by a team consisting of an average of eight electricians per day and was completed on December 31, 2021. The execution of the works benefited from an efficient collaboration both with Distribuție Oltenia, for the coordination of work programs, and with the representatives of the Plenița City Hall.
Through this investment, the commune of Plenița benefits from a modern, efficient and sustainable public lighting system, capable of reducing electricity consumption, CO₂ emissions and light pollution, while offering a higher level of comfort and safety for the community.
