ADREM carried out the design and execution works for the modernization and efficiency of the public lighting system in the city of Corabia, Olt County, a project aimed at increasing energy efficiency, improving urban safety and reducing the operating costs of the local administration.
The project aimed to rehabilitate and modernize the existing public lighting infrastructure by fully capitalizing on the existing network and replacing the inadequate lighting fixtures with modern equipment based on LED technology. In total, 1,500 LED street lighting fixtures were installed, of which 500 fixtures with nominal powers between 50 and 70 W on the city’s main arteries and 1,000 fixtures with powers between 30 and 50 W on the secondary streets.
To increase the level of safety in risk areas, the project included the installation of 3 street lighting fixtures equipped with integrated surveillance cameras. Also, in order to enhance the urban heritage and representative public spaces, 20 RGB LED projectors were installed to illuminate the facades, monuments and important statues in the city, of which 10 recessed and 10 apparent projectors.
The works also included the modernization of the interior lighting in buildings of public interest by installing 28 LED lighting fixtures with nominal powers between 20 and 40 W, thus contributing to the reduction of energy consumption and increasing the comfort of users.
An important element of the project was the implementation of an intelligent public lighting monitoring and management system. The solution allows online control of the ignition and extinguishing cycles, monitoring of energy consumption and automatic transmission of data via GSM/GPRS to a dedicated software platform. Through this infrastructure, the local administration benefits from efficient management of the lighting system and permanent access to information on the operation and consumption of the network.
Through the implementation of this project, ADREM contributed to the modernization of the urban infrastructure of Corabia, to the reduction of electricity consumption and to the increase of the quality of public services offered to the community. The implemented solutions ensure a modern, efficient and sustainable lighting system, adapted to the current requirements of smart urban development.
